Come learn to ski or ski faster in a fun, low pressure environment. Gear West’s Wednesday Night Technique and Training program is designed for all skiers, from first timers to former elites, and features options for fall dryland training, winter on-ski training, or both. With a skier-coach ratio of 8/1, the focus is on improving technique and ski-specific strength as well maintaining a high level of performance on a tight schedule. Several social gatherings for program members are also hosted throughout the fall and winter to break up the training routine.
Learn to wax from the best in the business. Every week from first snow to the third week of February (the weekend of the American Birkebeiner ski race), Gear West will show you how to make your skis lightning fast and easy-to-kick. We cover different topics each week as well as answering your specific waxing questions. Clinic instructors include US Nationals winning wax tech Matt Fox, Midwest skiing legend Brian Knutson, and former Birkie winner Matt Liebsch, as well as guest instruction from wax company tech reps throughout the winter.

Team XC United
Gear West is official equipment sponsor of Team XC United. This invite only racing team provides dedicated master athletes access to elite coaching and race support. XC United athletes are expected to put the majority of their training hours in independently, but meet up regularly for high level technique work and key workouts. Team XC United is also focused on improving the cross country skiing community, so membership is based on attitude and community engagement as much as race results.
